Welcome to the website for the West Australian Undersea Club
Spearfishing is promoted as a sport where the diver pits their
skills against the Ocean. And as a sport there is a self
improvement component on a physical, mental and for some
spiritual level.
It is a great sport and one of the few where the hunter can
become the hunted.
The West Australian Undersea Club has a heavy focus towards
selectable and sustainable fishing and encourages all spearos
to be aware of the delicate nature of all marine environments.

2008 Annual Glynn Dromey Competition
The Glynn Dromey Memorial Spearfishing competition is on this
Sturday and the weather is fine. Winds are easterly at 15 knots in the
morning dropping to 10 knots by midday on a swell of <1m.

Ray Powell is a well known freedive spearfisherman from Qld. He runs
courses in breathhold diving on a regular basis over east. I have sent
him an email to get more info.
